Writing and learning and teaching
Jul. 20th, 2013 10:03 pmI've heard it said you learn best by teaching, so this coming week is going to be interesting, and I will probably learn a lot. I'm running a week-long young writers camp (8-12) by myself, and we had low signups, so it's essentially going to be me and a couple of kids hanging out all week. I'm as prepped as I can be, and I've taught writing and run camps and been a camp counselor, but this is the first time I'll be doing all of that at once, with nobody to fall back on.
Spent last week finishing up prep, will be spending next week at camp, and then likely will spend the week after that getting caught up on everything I missed while camp took over my life, so . . . let's say Trial's editing isn't going as fast as I'd like. Quelle surprise, eh?
It's going, though, it's going. I think I can I think I can I think I can . . .
Wish me luck with camp!
