anthimeria: unicorn rampant, first line of Kipling's "The Thousandth Man" (The Novel)
[personal profile] anthimeria
I just spent seven hours doing a thorough line edit of the last fifty pages of The Novel--the new ending, which was effectively a RD while the rest of the novel was halfway through draft III.  My eyes are crossing.

'Cause it's a RD, I printed the pages out and edited the hard copy, so now I have to go back into the draft and put those changes into effect.

. . . tomorrow, I think.

Hint via Tobias Buckell at Alpha: Do line edits from the last page forward. That way, the page numbers from your draft copy will continue to correspond to the ones on the screen.

I may be too late here, but it seemed like a very sensible tip to me, so I thought I'd pass it along.

Good luck!
