anthimeria: Woman drawing a sword, the words "Sword and Sorceress XXV" (SS XXV)
[personal profile] anthimeria
I am thankful for so many things--for hanging on to my old job long enough to amass savings, even though I hated it, for the new job that I started immediately as a stopgap that's become fun and interesting and will probably be my job for the foreseeable future, for being employed in this economy, for my family who is supportive always, for my friends who get me out of the house when my hermiting tendencies take over, for my friends who hermit with me, for good books (just finished GUARDIAN OF THE DEAD by Karen Healey and it was everything I want from YA fiction, y'all.  So very awesome), for good fanfic (Teen Wolf, really?), for friends I don't see often and those I see every day, for the modern wonder of the internet and the rocky past that got us here, for the rocky present that's silver-lined, for forgiveness and happiness where I can find it, for the freedom I have and the rights I fight for, for the acceptance I've been given, for the chances I do my best not to squander, for the future and the past and every reminder that I have the agency to shape both.  For food and warmth and shelter.

Today I'm thankful, and strive to be thankful always.

Hope everyone's alright out there.  Happy turkey day, all!
