anthimeria: Astro City superheroine Flying Fox (Flying Fox)

Whew--recovering from the wonderfulness of WisCon took longer than I thought!  Then again, WisCon exceeded my expectations in every way, so I don't know why I thought that would be different.

At any rate, I have not one but TWO exciting pieces of news.

One: FINISHED THE ROUGH DRAFT OF SKYWATCH.  That's right, my steampunk City in the Sky is now laying fallow, awaiting the time when my brain will again be fertile enough to work on it.  Completing Eshe's story made me happy, and I hope the editing in a couple of months will be happy, too.

Two: I received the proof of Sword and Sorceress 25 and have spent the, oh, hour since then going "I'm really getting published.  I did it.  I'm getting published in Sword and Sorceress.  Eee!"

So, excitement and writing joy all around!

Bonus: Book recommendation--Feed, by Mira Grant.  Adult spec-fic.  Blogging.  Zombies.  Conspiracies.  Snark.  Not for the squeamish or easily intimidated.  Fantastic read.

The proof of the whole book, or just your story? Hard copy or e-mail? If it's an electronic copy, remember to do the merge thing with the original to see what changes have been made.

How exciting!

Are you allowed to leak the TOC, or do we non-contributors have to languish until it's released officially? Is there cover art yet?

Nevermind, I have located it with my Google-fu. Surprisingly, I recognize zero of the authors (other than you, of course). I guess Sword & Sorceress must draw from a different author pool than the spec fic pro magazines...
