anthimeria: A happy wolf pouncing on a packmate, reads "Triumph!" (Triumph!)
[personal profile] anthimeria
At a semi-reasonable pace.  Fourth of July weekend was awesome, and I had a few good writing days last week, and then this weekend sucked and I've picked at it the last few days.  But it's moving.

Current word count: 13,579

Not a bad count for slightly less than two weeks of work.

On the other hand, I have a suspicion this book's going to have the opposite problem that Skywatch did--I suspect it's going to be massively long.  Considering I'm 13.5k in and I just finished page one of my ten page outline . . . well.  Let's just hope it's padded with exposition and the other pages of my outline require fewer words, because unless a miracle occurs, I will likely never ever be able to sell a 120k-word first-adult-book urban fantasy novel.  High fantasy, maybe.  Urban fantasy probably not.
