Donating blood again
Jun. 27th, 2011 12:25 pmAnd nervous again. Last time I did this I had no idea what I was getting into; this time I've planned to eat properly, and sleep properly, have someone drive me home, and warned my boss that I'll likely be loopey for the rest of the day (which shouldn't be long, because I made the latest possible appointment).
I know there are a lot of ways to help the community, but unlike a lot of other volunteer work, this is relatively easy (there's a blood drive at work, so I don't even have to go anywhere), I qualify, and it actively gives people a fighting chance to survive. My other regular volunteer work is with animals (which I love), so this is a good way to do something different.
I just don't like needles. Or nearly passing out.
